Viewing Property Data

Learn about viewing data pertaining to a property. For most users, the purpose of visiting Online Auditor is to obtain data for a particular property. Data pages, therefore, are their destination. If you have questions about how to interpret and view these Data pages, scroll through the sections below:

 

Data Tabs

Property Data is divided into categories, or Tabs:

 

Base Tab

The Base tab contains an information overview about the property.

Information likely to be found on the Base tab:

> Parcel, Owner and Address.

> A thumbnail image of the property as it appears on the map.

> Mailing address.

> Geographic information regarding the property's location.

> Legal information.

> Valuation information.

> Recent sale.

> Residential information.

Land Tab

The Land tab contains information regarding the property's lot.

Information likely to be found on the Land tab:

> Parcel, Owner and Address.

> A thumbnail image of the property as it appears on the map.

> Land information.

> If no data is available for a property, the table will explicitly state so.

 

Valuation Tab

The Valuation tab contains information regarding the property's valuation.

 

Information likely to be found on the Valuation tab:

> Valuation information.

Sales Tab

The Sales tab contains information regarding the property's sales history.

 

Information likely to be found on the Sales tab:

> Parcel, Owner and Address.

> A thumbnail image of the property as it appears on the map.

> Sales history information.

Sketch Tab

The Sketch tab contains a graphic representation of the property's primary building layout.

 

Information likely to be found on the Sketch tab:

> Parcel, Owner and Address.

> A thumbnail image of the property as it appears on the map.

> A color-coded sketch of the property's primary building. Outbuildings may also be included in the sketch. The sketch contains a legend and scale for reference.

> A look-up chart of commonly used codes is usually available on the sketch page.

Tax Tab

The Tax tab contains information regarding the property's tax breakdown.

 

Information likely to be found on the Tax tab:

> Parcel, Owner and Address.A thumbnail image of the property as it appears on the map.

> Current year tax breakdown.

> Current year special assessments.

> Tax payment history.

 

Notes about the Tax tab:

> Tax information presented on this page is provided as-is and cannot be used as a substitute for an actual tax bill. Please verify your amount due with the Treasurer before making any payments.

Improvement Tab

The Improvements tab contains information regarding the property's improvements and/or outbuildings.

 

Information likely to be found on the Improvements tab:

> Parcel, Owner and Address.

> A thumbnail image of the property as it appears on the map.

> Improvements and/or Outbuilding information for the given property.

Permits Tab

The Permits tab contains information regarding the property's permit history.

> Permit history information.

Residential Tab

The Residential tab contains information regarding the property's residential building information.

Agricultural Tab

The Agricultural tab contains information regarding the property's agricultural land.

 

Information likely to be found on the Agricultural page:

> Parcel, Owner and Address.

> A thumbnail image of the property as it appears on the map.

> Agricultural building information.

Commercial Tab

The Commercial tab contains information regarding the property's commercial buildings and land.

 

Information likely to be found on the Commercial page:

> Parcel, Owner and Address.

> A thumbnail image of the property as it appears on the map.

> General commercial information.

> Commercial features.

> Commercial construction.

Navigating Your Search Results

 

After you have performed a search and selected a property from the list of search results, you are redirected to the selected property's Data page. However, your search results are not lost.

To view the previous or next property in your list of results, don't go back to the search page. Instead, use 'Navigate Parcels' on the right edge of the screen to page through your search results sequentially.

 

Navigating through your search results from the Data page:

> To view the next property, click the 'Forward' button.

> To view the previous property, click the 'Previous' button.

> To view the last property, click the 'Fast Forward' button.

> To view the first property, click the 'Rewind' button.

> To go back to the Search Results page, click 'Back to Search Results'.

 

Printing a Page

For a hard copy of your current page, click 'Print' located at the top of the Data page. Unlike printing Search Results or a Map, you are not directed to a print preview page. Your browser's print dialog box appears displaying your normal print options.

When you use the print button in this manner, you will ensure that you are printing efficiently. Graphics are removed and only tabular data represented on your current page will be printed.

 

 

Emailing Property Information

To email the property you are currently viewing to a friend, colleague or family member, click 'Email' located at the top of the Data page. Similar to emailing search results, you will be redirected to an email forms page. From there, fill out the form appropriately and click send. As with emailing search results, you have the option to send yourself a copy; check 'Send a copy to myself'.

 

 

 

The Property Record Card

The Property Record Card is a dynamically generated PDF that you can view, download or print. The Property Record Card summarizes the property's data into an easy-to-manage medium.

Viewing a Property's Comparable Sales Report

Click 'Comparables' at the top of the Data page to view a Comparable Sales Report for the property you are currently viewing. You will be redirected to the Reports page.

 

 

Viewing a Property's Neighborhood Report

When available, click the 'Neighborhood' link in the Legal section of the base page to view a Neighborhood Report for the property you are currently viewing. You will be redirected to the Reports page.

 

 

Saving and Retrieving a Property

Saving and Retrieving properties is useful for frequent users of the website. When you save a property it is persisted as a cookie allowing it to be available in future sessions. Saving and retrieving properties is almost effortless. Read more in the following sections:

 

The 'Save This Property As:' Feature

On the Data page, a 'Save This Property As:' feature is available on the right edge of the screen.

Steps to save a property:

> Saving a property works just like saving a search; type in the textbox the name you wish to save your property as and click 'Save Property'.

> If your save was successful, a 'Saved Properties:' list will appear just below the 'Save This Property As:' box. (See Your 'Saved Properties:' List).

 

Your 'Saved Properties:' List

If you have saved properties, a 'Saved Properties:' box will appear on the right edge of the screen. This box will contain a list of all your previously saved properties.

Additional Information:

> To retrieve a previously saved property, simply click the property you are interested in from you Saved Properties list. You will be redirected to the Base tab for that property.

> Previously saved properties are cleared by clicking the 'x' in the Saved Properties titlebar. Note: this clears all Saved Properties. You are unable to remove just one Saved Property from your list.
